Thank you for choosing Zyvo. We want you to shop with confidence and enjoy your products long after delivery. This Warranty Policy explains your rights and the warranty coverage we offer — both under New Zealand law and our own additional warranty terms.
1. Your Legal Rights Under NZ Law
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), every product you purchase from Zyvo for personal or household use must be:
Of acceptable quality and safe;
Fit for the purpose for which goods of that type are normally used;
Match the description given on our website and in marketing;
Delivered in good condition and within a reasonable time.
If a product fails to meet these guarantees, you are entitled to a remedy which may include a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you. These rights apply regardless of any manufacturer or retailer warranties you may receive. Consumer Protection
The CGA cannot be excluded or limited by any store policy — it is your statutory right as a NZ consumer.
2. Additional Warranty from Zyvo
In addition to your legal rights under the CGA, Zyvo provides a manufacturer or retailer warranty on many items. The duration and terms of this warranty will be clearly stated on the product page or invoice.
Typically:
New products include the manufacturer’s warranty period stated on the product page or receipt.
Refurbished products include a warranty period as stated at the time of purchase.
This additional warranty covers defects in:
Materials
Workmanship
Manufacturing faults
If a product fails due to one of the above during the stated warranty period, we will repair, replace, or refund the product at our discretion.
3. What the Warranty Does NOT Cover
The Zyvo additional warranty does not cover issues caused by:
Misuse, neglect, or improper handling
Normal wear and tear
Accidental damage (drops, spills, etc.)
Damage caused by unauthorised repair or modification
Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect product functionality
Consumable components (e.g., batteries, bulbs) unless stated
If a product has been used outside its intended purpose or contrary to manufacturer instructions, that may void the additional warranty.
4. How to Make a Warranty Claim
To start a warranty claim, please:
Email [email protected]
Include your order number
Describe the fault, including photos or videos if possible
Confirm whether you want repair, replacement, or refund
After assessment, we will provide return instructions. Do not send the item back before contacting us.
5. Return Shipping During Warranty
Unless otherwise specified:
You are responsible for returning items for warranty assessment.
If the failure is verified as a genuine warranty issue, Zyvo will cover return shipping costs back to you.
In some cases (e.g., Dead on Arrival), Zyvo may cover shipping both ways — this will be confirmed case-by-case.
6. Remedies & Timeframes
If a fault is confirmed under warranty:
We will aim to complete the assessment and service within a reasonable timeframe
If repair is not possible, a replacement (same model or similar) will be offered
If replacement is unavailable, a refund or store credit may be issued
Refunds under warranty may be subject to the original purchase price and payment method.
7. Warranty Transfer & Proof of Purchase
Warranty benefits are tied to the original purchaser and proof of purchase (invoice/order number) is required for all warranty claims.
8. Your Consumer Rights Still Apply
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and other applicable NZ laws (e.g., Fair Trading Act) remain unaffected. These rights may entitle you to additional remedies if the product does not meet guarantees of quality or fitness. Consumer Protection+1
